Sootscan®

The Sootscan® Model OT21 Transmissometer is a dual wavelength bench top analyser capable of measurement of black carbon absorption at 880nm and compounds absorbing at 370nm. Measurements can be made from filters collected from ambient and emission source applications.  The analysis process is none destructive and black carbon may be measured from archived samples.  The analyser calibration can be verified using a standard filter kit and analysis results can be downloaded in .csv format to a computer via a serial data connection.
